Michigan beat Penn State in convincing fashion, but what will it take to beat down the Wisconsin Badgers?
Derek Devine brings Von Lozon back on Devine Intervention to look back at Michigan’s win over Penn State. The two also begin looking ahead to discuss what they expect to see this Saturday against Wisconsin.
No troubles for the Wolverines in week four
Michigan won with ease on Saturday. Wilton Speight did enough to get the job done, and Michigan’s rushing attack looked unstoppable. Outside of a few pass interference penalties, the defense looked as good as it has all season. Overall, Michigan’s fourth victory of the season was its most impressive. Keep in mind, even though Penn State looked terrible, the Wolverines did hold stud back Saquon Barkley in check. That’s an accomplishment in itself.
Key to dominating Wisconsin
Keep. Scoring. Lots. Of. Points. Michigan is still averaging 52 points a game, good for 4th best in the country. Wisconsin, however, is only allowing 11.8 points per game on average (Michigan is allowing 13.8 ppg). Something has to give. We believe the Wolverines have the better offense—and defense for that matter—but Alex Hornibrook looked calm and collective against Michigan State. Can he lead the Badgers to another top ten victory?
