Jalil Irvin Reopens Recruitment: Still Considering Michigan

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football, Recruiting

It’s been a weird few days for Michigan football as the Wolverines have recently lost three commitments.

After losing both Aubrey Solomon, and Leonard Taylor in the same day, the Wolverines are about to be thinner, again, after this morning.

Jalil Irvin, a four-star offensive guard, decided to reopen his recruitment after committing to Michigan earlier this year. The Wolverines are not in crisis mode, but maybe they should start preparing for others to drop as well — it’s always better to have a contingency plan, rather than falling flat on your face.

Here’s his post on social:

Even with Irvin in the fold, Michigan planned on taking a lot of talent on the offensive line in this class. However, maybe this is something that made him realize that other opportunities are best for him.

Although he is no longer considered a commit for the football team, he was still on record saying Michigan was still his, “dream school,” so take that for what it’s worth.
