Real Madrid and Chelsea to play Fútbol at Michigan Stadium

Ann Arbor has been the main focus of the college football offseason, and it seems as if that will continue to spill over into the summer.

On July 30th, Michigan Stadium will host English Premiere League’s Chelsea and La Liga’s Real Madrid.

Stars like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos, Diego Costa, and Oscar will be putting on a show for the crowd of over one-hundred thousand people. A true treat for the people paying to see, the rabid fans that will make the journey to the Big House, and the people watching across the globe.

Michigan Stadium will not be, however, the only team in Big Ten country who will be hosting Fútbol:

FC Bayern vs FC Milan in Chicago, IL on July 27th
FC Bayern vs Real Madrid in East Rutherford, NJ on August 3rd
Real Madrid vs Paris St. Germain in Columbus, OH on July 27th
AC Milan vs Chelsea FC on August 3rd in Minneapolis, MN

This is a win-win for both Michigan and it’s community. The athletic department will bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars and local businesses would seem to benefit from the tourists as well.
