Tyrone Wheatley, former Michigan Wolverine running back, will be interviewing with Michigan today, via Sam Webb.
Webb is reporting that Wheatley is on Michigan’s campus right now. Wheatley could potentially replace Fred Jackson, if he is asked to step away from the team, and will more than likely be the running backs coach.
Wheatley would be apart of a coaching staff that has shaped up quickly, and is rather impressive. Wheatley will be looked upon to further develop former five-star recruits, Derrick Green and Ty Isaac, as well as De’Veon Smith, and Drake Johnson.
Wheatley has a son in this current recruiting class, and a job with Michigan could help them sign Wheatley Jr. significantly.
