Report: Jimmie Dougherty Joining Jim Harbaugh, Michigan

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football

Michigan’s staff under Jim Harbaugh is reportedly continuing to grow. FootballScoop.com, citing sources, is reporting that Harbaugh has brought on San Jose State offensive coordinator and assistant head coach Jimmie Dougherty.

Dougherty’s reported position at Michigan is unknown at this time.

It is very unlikely that Dougherty would become the Wolverines’ offensive coordinator; it seems that position is being locked up by Tim Drevno, who spent this last season working as USC’s offensive line coach.

Dougherty worked under Harbaugh at San Diego before coaching at Washington for three years as the wide receivers coach. His work at San Jose State resulted in one of the top offenses in FBS for the last few seasons.
