Michigan’s Doug Nussmeier To Be Named Offensive Coordinator at Florida

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

It is being reported by Thayer Evans of Sports Illustrated that Michigan’s offensive coordinator, Doug Nussmeier, will accept the same position at Florida.

Nussmeier was a one-and-done in Ann Arbor, but will look to build up a football team similar to the one he’s leaving. He’ll have his hands full for the second straight year, and recruiting will not be any easier in the SEC.

Florida took advantage of Michigan still looking for a head coach, and jumped at the opportunity to bring in Nussmeier. It could be a happy marriage, especially with Florida’s speed.

Nussmeier was the man in charge of the offense while he was at Michigan, but the team struggled heavily, especially in the run game, and quarterback decision making.

Michigan will now be in search for a new head coach, and offensive coordinator, with no update on Greg Mattison, it looks to be a whole new staff to lead the Wolverines.

This story is ongoing and we will provide updates as the story progresses.
