Postgame Recap: Michigan vs Maryland

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football

Maryland defeated Michigan this afternoon 23-16 in Ann Arbor.

Devin Gardner finished with 106 yards passing, and an interception. He also had 84 yards rushing with a touchdown and a fumble.

Drake Johnson ended up rushing for 94 yards rushing on 14 carries. But arguably the most entertaining rush was from senior Joe Kerridge. Kerridge had one rush, on a fake punt, for 52 yards down to the Maryland 8 yard line. Michigan ultimately kicked a field goal later in the drive.

Michigan now is in serious trouble of falling out of contention for a bowl bid. With Ohio State up next on the schedule, the Wolverines need to bring a new team than the one on the field Saturday. Michigan had key drops all afternoon, and ultimately could not capitalize on big plays.
