Michigan lost its first game of the year Tuesday night, falling to the 12th ranked Villanova Wildcats 60-55. Nicholls State is winless to start the year, losing by double digits to UCLA, Wake Forest and North Texas. This is the first ever meeting between the two teams.

The Colonels have been led offensively by junior guard Amin Torres, who is averaging 11 PPG with a .462 field goal percentage.

The Wolverines have been led offensively so far this season by Zak Irvin (18.4 PPG) and Caris LeVert (16.2 PPG).

If Michigan keeps up the offensive surge, this game should be a walk through the park. The key for this team is ultimately going to be the bench. The star guys have been productive, but the rest of the team needs to put in their part for Michigan to continue the success.

Guys like Max Bielfeldt and Ricky Doyle are going to have to come off the bench and provide the height that Michigan desperately needs in order to compete with the best of the best this season.

I think Michigan will bounce back from their five point loss to Villanova and have a big win at home. I believe Michigan will win 72-49 with a 25 point performance by LeVert and 18 from Irvin.
