Former Michigan Wolverines Star Denard Robinson Might Be Seeing More Reps With Jacksonville Jaguars

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football

If you made it to The Big House to watch the Michigan Wolverines stomp all over Appalachian State, you saw Denard Robinson, smiling and waving to a crowd going crazy for him. Robinson, a running back with the Jacksonville Jaguars, didn’t have a very strong rookie campaign in the NFL, only tallying 66 yards while struggling with turnovers. But after a strong preseason run in 2014, it looks like we may be seeing a little more of Robinson on Sunday afternoons.

The Jaguars released their Week 1 depth chart, and “Shoelace”—he still leaves his shoes untied—is slotted in the backup position right behind Toby Gerhart at running back.

Robinson has been one of the most humble characters to ever walk through the football program at Michigan, and it’s incredible to see all his hard work and determination beginning to pay off at the next level, despite the criticism he still regularly receives.

Never count out guys who used to compete in maize and blue.

Are you missing Denard Robinson as much as we are? We hope this helps.
