Michigan Football: Csont’e York Dismissed From Program

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football

Michigan football head coach Brady Hoke announced in a statement this afternoon that sophomore wide receiver Csont’e York has been dismissed from the program following an alleged assault that took place earlier this month.

York was indefinitely suspended about a week ago. Hoke stated that he would let the legal process play out, but that is no longer the case.

Hoke on York’s dismissal:

“Csont’e York has been dismissed from the Michigan football program,” stated Hoke. “Representing the University of Michigan is a privilege and, while second chances are certainly deserved, sometimes it’s better for everyone if that happens somewhere else. Overall, I have been proud of how responsible our team has been this offseason and how hard they’ve worked to prepare for the season.”

This story is still developing.
