One of the future Michigan Wolverines was dealt a big blow in practice this week, as 2015 cornerback commit Garrett Taylor (Richmond, VA) told ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren that he has suffered a torn ACL and will undergo surgery on Thursday.

Taylor, who will miss his senior season, is a four-star prospect and the tenth-ranked cornerback in the class of 2015, according to the 247 Composite.

According to 247 Sports, Taylor was never planning to enroll early and that rehab on his knee will begin as soon as possible.

He is one of the ten commits that Michigan currently has in the 2015 cycle along with quarterback Alex Malzone, running back Mike Weber, tight end Chris Clark, offensive linemen Jon Runyan Jr. and Grant Newsome, linebacker Darrin Kirkland Jr., safety Tyree Kinnel, athlete Brian Cole and kicker Andrew David.
