Quick Commit Reaction: 2016 QB Messiah DeWeaver

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football, Recruiting

The Michigan Wolverines are certainly making a case for “QBU (Quarterback University)” lately, and have added another quarterback into one of their recruiting classes. 2016 has their man now, he is name is Messiah DeWeaver.

Offensive Coordinator Doug Nussmeier saw all he needed to see and offered the four-star gunslinger, and DeWeaver committed just four (4) hours after he was offered.

My first reaction when seeing DeWeaver was how gifted he is physically. Anytime a team can bring in a player with the physical tools that DeWeaver has, it screams “growth and potential.” Although I haven’t seen as much as I would like to to this point, DeWeaver is, at least physically, capable of playing the position. DeWeaver stands at 6-3, and just north of 200 pounds, which gives him a better chance to absorb hits because of how he is built.

He held offers from:
Louisville
Kentucky
Bowling Green
Toledo
Cincinnati
and Western Kentucky

He was also being looked at, but not offered, by:
Notre Dame
Alabama
Stanford
and Tennessee

Here are some highlights of DeWeaver
