Jashon Cornell Will Visit Michigan Friday

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football, Recruiting

Jashon Cornell is one of the best Defensive Ends in the country, and on Friday he will be visiting the University of Michigan.

Cornell was at Sound Mind Sound Body yesterday in Michigan, and Tyree Kinnel and Darrin Kirkland Jr. seemed to be in the ear of the highly touted defensive lineman, also, the two of them will accompany Cornell on his visit.

He has a Top 7 schools as of today (6/13/14) and they are as follows (no order):

Michigan
Ohio State
Michigan State
Iowa
Minnesota
Penn State
UCLA

So as his August commitment deadline approaches, look for him to be at all of his schools, just to be sure.

For Brady Hoke, now seems like the time to heavily recruit this player, especially if he is only a few months away from committing. If Hoke can try and sway Cornell, and make a sales pitch to a player like Keisean Lucier-South, Michigan may be able to sure up their defensive line troubles almost instantaneously.

It is important for this staff to make Cornell feel welcomed, and like he is wanted by the Michigan coaching staff. He could be a big pickup for Michigan, and would help fill a void left by Frank Clark when he graduates after this football season.

We will continue to update you as the visit goes on, and story progresses.
