On Thursday, The University of Michigan made a significant player’s Top 10 list for the school he would like to play for. Darrin Kirkland Jr. has narrowed down his decision of where he would like to attend college, and you can check that after the jump.
In no order, Michigan, Texas, Kentucky, Penn State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, and North Carolina have all made the Nation’s Number 7 Inside Linebacker’s list.
Kirkland Jr. will visit Michigan on May 17, and seems to be in good standing with Michigan. He originally planned to announce his decision on the final day of May, however, he decided to extend that period just a little longer.
Kirkland Jr. is from Indianapolis, Indiana, and will be able to get to Michigan’s campus pretty frequently if he so chooses, so Big Ten country would be no stranger to him. It was strange to see a school from Indiana not even mentioned, but Kirkland Jr. wants to, and can, play with the Nation’s best.
It seems as if Michigan extended an offer at a good time, considering he wasn’t officially offered until April 4th, 2014. Time will tell where Kirkland Jr. ends up, but all eyes will be in Ann Arbor on May 17th.
