The recruiting drought has ended for the Michigan Football program as class of 2015 cornerback Garrett Taylor announced today via his Twitter page that he has committed to play for head coach Brady Hoke and the Wolverines.

Taylor, a native of Richmond, Virginia, is a four-star prospect, top 100 player, and eighth-ranked cornerback in the class, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings.

Stanford was considered the favorite for Taylor until a recent visit to Ann Arbor, which launched Michigan into the driver’s seat for his services. His visit to Michigan went extremely well, and it has paid off.

He is the fifth commit for 2015 and joins an already deep secondary class. Cornerback Shaun Crawford and safety Tyree Kinnel are the other pieces that the Wolverines have put together.
