Early Enrollee Profiles: Cornerback Brandon Watson

Posted on Posted in Michigan Football, Recruiting

Michigan’s highly touted 2014 recruiting class has seven players that have enrolled early and are currently in class and in the weight training program at the school. In our newest TBHR series, we profile each of these seven players and take a close look at what they will bring to the program.

In our second profile of Michigan’s 2014 early enrollees, we will take a look at cornerback Brandon Watson, teammate of wide receiver commit Freddy Canteen. Watson’s profile can be read after the jump.

Name: Brandon Watson

Position: Cornerback

Height/Weight: 6-0, 185 lbs

Location: Eastern Christian High School (Elkton, MD)

Class of 2014

Committed to Michigan (Early Enrollee)

Scouting Report: Watson is a three-star prospect according to the 247 Sports composite rankings. Not biggest or fastest player, but he does posses solid quickness and ball skills for his position. Solid, not great at the position, and will need to improve as a tackler.

What He Brings to Michigan: Like his teammate and fellow early enrollee Freddy Canteen, Watson earned his spot at a camp in front of Michigan’s staff, which cannot be overlooked. Has a lot of developing to do as a player, but could end up being a solid depth guy down the road.
