The year was 2004. Michigan was facing Michigan State in it’s annual Battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy. Michigan was riding the momentum of a three game winning streak against the Spartans. That momentum was slowly waning as the Wolverines were facing a 17-point-defecit with 5:44 left in the game.
Chad Henne hooked up with Braylon Edwards twice to put the game within striking distance. The game would eventually head to triple OT where Michigan would prevail 45-37. Edwards would finish the game with 189 yards receiving and three touchdown catches.
