Chat Sports is reporting that Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is looking into the possibility of going pro, by submitting paperwork to determine his potential draft status.
Is there room for legitimate concern for Wolverine fans? Absolutely. Coaches Hoke, Mattison and Borges all met with Robinson to discuss the potential move. All coaches agreed that if he is rated a first round pick, he should leave.
Is there any possibility that he will receive first-round status? Highly unlikely.
My verdict? Take this report with a grain of salt. I don’t believe Denard has the tools to be a successful NFL quarterback this year. With one more year of being under a pro-style system offense, maybe then we he be considered a top 5 quarterback in the 2012 class.
